What Can Be Done?

Many UK-based museums have an element of WWII-period RAF Bomber Command in their coverage. None focuses exclusively on this aspect of our history and the industrial and scientific effort that took place. In particular, the contribution made by the British, Commonwealth and other Free Forces, is often overshadowed by an American-dominated view of history.

As world events move on, there is a natural tendency for this subject to be pushed aside, whilst what little remains of structures and human memory succumb to the bulldozer or the grim reaper. An opportunity therefore exists in the UK in the 21st Century for a  focused organization to (working with others) help preserve the National memory in science and engineering, as well as social history and culture related to WWII RAF Bomber Command.

BOMBER COMMAND HERITAGE is a voluntary not-for profit organization.  We are doing what we can in the 21st Century to remember all those that gave so much for the British and Commonwealth effort during World War II.

We are on a journey of discovery (often rediscovery) into all aspects related to the RAF Bomber Command story.
