A
cut-down BCH
Roadshow made it to the superb Kemble "At Home Day"
2006 under the wing of
Delta Jets, and
had a fantastic response again from the Public to the
BCHSAVE RAF
Bicester Campaign...
BCH ROADSHOW 2005: MKAS "AIRCREW FORUM" AT BLETCHLEY PARK
TheBCH
Roadshow was invited to display at the
Milton Keynes Aviation
Society's superb "Aircrew Forum" at
Bletchley Park, home of British code-breaking in
WWII...
TheBCH
Roadshow had a successful show at the Kemble "Air Day,"
where Dave Hall's
Kemble Mossie Project had its first roll-out in this
advanced build-state. The public were amazed ...
CAN we help save these rare Air Ministry
pattern wooden huts at Kemble? Maybe they could become the
small museum and workshop facility that we desperately need...
WREATHS laid from BCH and on behalf of the
families of crews from three Lancasters of 61 Squadron,
tragically lost sixty years ago almost to the day...
WE have managed to film and help Oxford Film & TV
who used the Kemble
Mossie Project as part of their documentary on the
WWII "Foo Fighter" phenomena. This was the
Kemble Mossie's
first use as a prop for film company work...
IT'S big. It's hairy. It's very, very heavy,
and boy did we struggle. Now finally we are proud
owners of our first Bristol Hercules engine as fitted to
the Halifax, Lancaster etc. It was quite a saga getting it...
AFTER some tentative steps our first video
documentary project, covering the story of David Hall's
magnificent "Kemble Mossie Project," finally
gets off the Ground...
SCALE model aircraft are one thing, but a 1/4
scale Avro Lancaster is a seriously major lump to contend with.
Our acquisition of this massive beast, although in need of
serious TLC, means that as a BCH Project we should be able to
turn this into an impressive display item or even as part of
some sort of memorial installation...
FULL MEMBERSHIP OF THE BRITISH AVIATION PRESERVATION
COUNCIL (BAPC)
AWARDED
Another milestone in our short history has
been achieved.
AFTER much gnashing of teeth; sorting out
Constitution and polices; heart-palpitating presentation to
our peers and elders under somewhat trying conditions... we
have finally graduated from "provisional" to
"full membership" of the BAPC.
