AIM
To support and assist in any way we can David
Hall's Kemble Mossie
Project.
THIS is David's remarkable effort to re-create a de
Havilland Mosquito B.IV from scratch to ground running condition.
LATEST
Another BCH
Friends-Active Volunteers painting session at Kemble is
scheduled for 17/JUL/2004. We will combine this with more work on he
Video Project as well.
We are also going to have a second go at some
night-time stills photography of the cockpit interior with the
instruments lit up. Very tricky to do well in such a small aircraft,
but it should produce some evocative images that do justice to
David's remarkable detail work. Fingers crossed that it works this
time - unlike the last attempt!
We have just organized to do another BCH Display
Event with the Kemble Mossie appearing on the stand,
at the Kemble Airfield Open Day on 12/SEP/2004. Although
the BCH Roadshow 2004 is much ramped back (to concentrate
efforts on our projects) compared with our 2003 season, we think it
is important to commit to this particular event with the Kemble
Mossie as so much progress has been made on it this year.
NEEDS
We are desperate for any help at all. Apart from
general labour, we can find a use for most people's abilities at
various times. Anything from being available at short-notice to
"hump" a fuselage into place, to helping on the BCH
Display Stand at one of the shows... HELP

BACKGROUND
We are not claiming any great participation for BCH
in the Kemble Mossie
Project. It is purely David's vision, hard work and
tenacity that has seen the Kemble Mossie Project come to
fruition. What we are trying to do is just help in any small way
that we can, as we believe David's project is so worthwhile.
So far our input has been minimal but we have been
able to help in small ways on a number of fronts such as
"dumb" manpower; research, publicity, and a bit of general
moral support as this is a solo effort by David.
Slapping the odd bit of paint on the underside has
been good, not only for David's back, but also our moral and
enthusiasm. As the BCH Technical Archive grows, we hope to
provide a bit more research help too.
Our efforts in the area of publicity have been
greater, and we have managed to start to get some Press Releases and
articles about the Kemble Mossie Project into Flypast
Magazine and other organizations Newsletters. Our own
Newsletter Parramatter
also features the Kemble Mossie often.
Our first full season of doing displays saw the the BCH
Roadshow 2003 attending 2 events at Kemble Airfield, with the Kemble
Mossie on our joint stand with the F.A.S.T. (Royal
Aircraft Establishment Farnborough - RAE). Both The
Vintage Fly-In and the PFA Rally events saw large
numbers of visitors attend and many showed great interest in what
David is doing.
As we have now at last started to get around to
developing the BCH Website, we hope this will also help raise
awareness about David's efforts.
