Our first video project is an attempt to tell the
story behind David Hall's Kemble Mossie Project. This
is David's remarkable attempt to re-create a de Havilland Mosquito
B.IV to ground running condition.
AS time goes on we we hope to record the progress of
the project as well as giving an insight into the David's skill and
determination to realize a dream of having something in the UK to
remember this fantastic aircraft and the people who designed, built
and flew her. Apart from short video clips for the Web, we hope to
be able to produce a multimedia/video that can be played alongside
the project at displays or talks, at our own educational facility,
or even make available to the general public as DVD/Video.
LATEST
Now that the main fuselage is complete more footage
has now been taken. We've started to record in detail the operation
of the systems installed - downward identification signalling lights
and a general tour of the basic pilots flight instruments and
systems. Our next task is to start to record "interviews"
with David where we cover some of the background to the subject and
the trails and tribulations of getting the project off the ground
and keeping going.
NEEDS
We are desperate for any broadcast-quality video
equipment and facilities or services. Anything from cameras,
edit-suites, lighting, tripods to gaffer tape...
BACKGROUND
Other footage has already been taken of the main
fuselage roll-out and appearance at the Kemble PFA Rally in
2003. This will be combined with new footage and stills that we and
David and others have taken.
